Memory Project Participation Process
Art teacher completes our online registration form and selects one of several flexible options for paying the student participation fees ($15 per student/portrait).
When that step is completed, we immediately email the teacher a webpage link where she or he can download digital photos of children waiting for portraits. We also mail the teacher a welcome letter and a copy of the instructions.
The teacher and participating students then create the portraits, working from the digital photos we have provided. Portraits are usually due within 3-4 months for delivery to the children.
Once the portraits are finished, the teacher mails them to:
The Memory Project
4013 Hegg Avenue
Madison, WI 53716
We then arrange for the portraits to be delivered to the children, along with all of the other portraits for that particular location.
After the portraits are delivered, we send the teacher digital photos of the delivery, and also any drawings or letters that the children have made for the art students.
The teacher then shares those photos and drawings with her or his students, and the project is complete!
