Frequently asked questions about participating:

Can I see some quotes from teachers who are involved?
Who is allowed to participate?

The Memory Project is designed for advanced high school or university art classes, as the quality of the portraits is of highest importance. We therefore strongly request that teachers only implement the project with students who will produce work as high in quality as the examples in our image gallery. Typically this would be students at high school level 3 or above. We also invite teachers to join the project and create a portrait with their students.

Also, it is highly suggested that teachers only conduct this project as an in-class activity. (We have found that students who sign up to do the project as volunteers in their free time sometimes do not follow through).

Why do you require that the artists be so advanced?
How much does it cost to participate?
How much time will we have to create the portraits?
What are the instructions for media, size, etc?
Why must we commit to a minimum of 5 portraits?
